Fun In The Studio

Teaching is in my blood.  How I "LOVE" it!!!  I work very hard to pass on the energy of joy and enthusiasm towards music within my students.  May each of you -and your families- fully catch the fever.  One way that strive to bring joy into the studio is through theory games that can be briefly played during the lesson.  It drives home the point of the theory lesson, and kids are having fun in the process of their learning.  I enjoy using Music Mind Games, Music Encounters games combined with group theory books, and various online piano theory games that I use in our studio computer lab.  I also research online for printable games posted by outstanding teachers who lovingly share.  One that I have come across is Susan Pardis.  I was too tickled to find the pdf of her game that teaches note and rest values.  I printed and laminated the game above.  The cute little bears I use for game pieces was purchased at a local school store.
