A Big Congrats to our Star Student!

Nolan, dashing and handsome as ever, performs for the judge!

CONGRATULATIONS NOLAN for your outstanding performance in the AMTA Piano Festival, held at the Augusta Regents University!!! Nolan was rated superior in his piano performance, as well as the written theory examination.  He received 2 gold sealed certificates from the Augusta Music Teacher's Association!  In July, Nolan will be participating in a week long Suzuki Piano workshop located in Louisville, KY, hosted by the International Suzuki Association, at the University of Louisville.  There, he will perform and get additional training from educators of the Suzuki Talent Education in Matsumoto Japan.  After the workshop, he will perform in a recital at the University.

Photo left:  Nolan receives a performance app for his piano phone for his performance at the festival. The piano phone and apps are used at my studio as part of our incentive program. The idea came from an incredible site for piano teachers called "Teach Piano Today".

Photo right:  Nolan and his devoted mom, Renee!  She is highly involved with his lesson.  Each week she is attentive and takes outstanding notes of points discussed during the lessons.  She reinforces things learned during their home practice.  The teamwork of the Hajek family is every teacher's dream.  I use them as role models for upcoming students, and they are indeed an encouragement and great "cheerleaders" for new Suzuki families!  :-D

 

I am extremely PROUD of you Nolan!!! Not only are you an amazing piano student, you are also my darling friend! You and your loving family make teaching an ultimate joy!
