Jan-March Studio Newsletter is now complete, so be sure to pick up your copy at your next piano lesson.  This month's will spotlight will be about Mariah!  She participated in the Japanese Suzuki Piano Basics Workshop sponsored by AASPA (Atlanta Area Suzuki Piano Association).  There, she received training from master teachers that lovingly came to us all the way from Matsumoto, Japan!!

Mariah and Keiko Ogiwara!

Keiko Ogiwara and Keiko Kawamura enjoyed viewing all of the lapbooks that my students created!

What a joy and privilege it was meeting them!  Photos of this event is posted on the studio Facebook account.  Drop by and visit when you have time!  View here:  Facebook Photo Gallery

The news letter will include dates for the upcoming Piano Festival, Our summer concert in June, and the 5 Piano and Chamber Workshop and concert in Arkansas during the month of July.

Very soon, I will be introducing students to the world of letterboxing.  I am in the process of handcarving soft-blocks of various composers that we are studying in our Suzuki book.  To the left is my soft-block carving of Jean Baptise Lully.  (Piece: "Long, Long Ago")  The stamp/letterbox will be hidden in a beautiful scenic area.  Prizes will be included in the box for those finding it.  You will have to answer clue questions based upon the composer to find where the letterbox is hidden.  If you would like to learn more about the fun-filled activity of letterboxing, check out the following sites:
