Honeybee Awareness Day
| Honey Bee Decoupage Plate |
| Mixed white and yellow glittered polymer clay together. Stamped a honeybee stamp into it and baked for 20-25 minutes. The polymer clay image was glued onto the decoupage plates. |
I always enjoy precious moments with my students!! For Honeybee Awareness Day, students shared facts they enjoyed learning about the honey bees before performing their Suzuki solos. Here is a video example of Samantha sharing info she learned. Samantha's Honeybee Presentation.
Her solo following the bow was "The Honeybee". After solos are performed, we enjoy a bit of social time together playing music theory games, music themed craft projects, field trips, etc. In addition to the training from the performance class, this time together allows students/families to truly bond with one another. ( See "Honeybee Awareness Gallery") In the photo above, we created decoupage plates by using older sheet music, honeybee fabric and polymer clay. Hope that you like it!
