It has been Honeybee mania this month at Graham's Music Studio! We are a "nature based" piano studio, and since Honeybee Awareness and The
Great Georgia Pollinator Census is during the month of August, our piano theory assignments, sight reading practice, piano composition assignments, and Suzuki Piano Concert has been based upon the awareness. Some of the students participated in
The Great Georgia Pollinators Census at their gardens or nearby nature parks, and each of them have their honeybee wildflower packets to plant beautiful flowers for our precious pollinators.
Speaking of Piano Concert......we had the joy of watching 2 amazing students -Samantha and Hannah- perform for their Suzuki Bk 1 Graduation. (See gallery for more photos.) We would like to thank the outstanding Jessye Norman School of Arts for their support in generously allowing us to us their school auditorium for this event!! The concert was in honor of Honeybee Awareness. To add a special touch to the event, Hannah and Samantha used each of their solo titles to create a musical story. The title of their story was "The Adventures of the Honeybee". Samantha's brother, Christopher, did an outstanding job at reading the story during the concert. The trio did so well that they received a long applause and standing ovation!!! What a fine source of encouragement for such talented artists!❤️

Many thanks to Hannah's supportive Mom and Dad, Charles and Tammy Kelley, for their hard work at decorating and getting things set up for this awesome event!! Charles also worked with adjusting the piano bench and footstools during the concert. My heart goes out to him, because he came directly from a full days work at his job and hopped right into doing more work for the piano concert.

Samantha and Christopher's supportive Mom and Dad, Randall and Diana Holmes, were filled with the Honeybee Spirit!! They were absolutely adorable in their Honeybee T-shirts, and gifted everyone with a delicious Honeybee themed cake! We thank them, as well, from the heart!!
